Tribex 5% Fluke Drench for Sheep
Suspension containing 5% w/v triclabendazole
Uses
For the specific treatment of mature, immature and early immature liver fluke (fasciola hepatica) in sheep.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration only using properly calibrated dosing equipment.
Estimate bodyweight as accurately as possible before calculating the dosage. The recommended dose rate is 10mg Triclabendazole per kg bodyweight as a single administration, which is equivalent to 2.0ml Tribex 5% per 10kg bodyweight.
For animals over 80kg - give an additional 2ml for each addition 10kg bodyweight.
Tribex 5% can be safely given to pregnant sheep.
Withdrawal Period
Meat and offal: Sheep should not be slaughtered for human consumptino within 56days of the last treatment.
Milk: Not authorised for use in ewes producing milk for human consumption including during the dry period.
Do not use within 1 year prior to the first lambing in ewes intended to produce milk for human consumption.
Contraindictions, Warnings etc
Only use for liverfluke strains susceptible to triclabendazole.
Care must be taken not to damage the mouth or pharyngeal region when dosing.
